ASSOCIATES’ 2006 SERVICE SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION
Community
Vision International (CVI2) enables contracting
community transformation visionaries to help transform needy
communities in many countries. CVI2 and its
associate contractors pursue our mission and goals through USA
government-recognized charitable and educational services. CVI2’s
main government-recognized services, service locations and audiences
benefited appear below.
EXECUTIVE
OVERVIEW
During
2006, CVI2’s 33
associates, supported by an intercessory team and 375 benefactors, served directly in over
35 countries and
via the internet in more
countries. Our services benefited directly over 17,620 people and 571 organizations. To
help, we prepared 270
helpful service documents. The services were funded with tax-exempt
contributions of $306,150,
an increase of 37 percent
over 2005.
MAIN SERVICES
During
2006, CVI2 associates’ government-recognized
charitable and educational services were:
- Relief of the

Relief of the Poor,
the Distressed, or the Underprivileged
CVI2
associates provided these services in Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, Rwanda and the USA.
Over 2319 people
and 156
organizations benefited directly. Twenty-six documents
were prepared to help. Specifically, CVI2
associates:
- empowered or
met practical needs of 830+
poor, disabled and disadvantaged through 41 organizations;
- provided relief
to 605
orphaned or needy children through nine
organizations;
- facilitated 412 people from five
organizations to develop and/or translate relief service materials;
- trained 148 short-term
relief workers, benefitting
44
organizations;
- encouraged 120 Christian
workers, representing 40
organizations, in war and post-war zones, and networked resources to
assist some of them;
- trained 104 people,
representing seven
organizations, to enable widows and orphans;
- advised or
empowered over 100
people within 10
churches to provide ESL services.
Advancement of Religion
CVI2
associates provided this service in Albania, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, Rwanda, the USA,
and other countries. Over 6568 people
and 181
organizations benefited directly. Many documents
were prepared to help. Specifically, CVI2
associates:
- educated 2153 people in seven
organizations about missions and ministries to Native Americans;
- coached,
mentored or trained over 2058
church and mission leaders from 60
organizations to plant, multiply and revitalize small churches;
- worked among
over 900
people and with at least four
organizations to transform SA communities;
- collaborated
with 43
organizations to train, equip and mobilize 604 students
(junior high, high school and college) to train, equip and mobilize
their Christian peers to help transform their campuses;
- trained over 500 church
leaders from at least five
US Hispano-American organizations;
- provided
consulting (missiological,
organizational, etc.) to over 194
students or missionaries from 24
agencies;
- trained 80 women from one organization
in faith-based skills;
- administrated
or lead 50
school children associated with 10
organizations in Bible club worship;
- provided
technology support and training to 30 people from two Christian
organizations;
- researched
Native American communities to assess needs, opportunities and
potential service partners;
- adapted, designed and prepared materials
for websites and workshops with beneficiaries not yet defined;
Advancement of
Education
CVI2
associates provided this service in Ecuador, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, and the USA.
Over 522 people and

organizations benefited directly. Forty-five documents
were prepared to help. Specifically,
CVI2 associates:
- educated 220 developing
nations’ students in four
organizations;
- built or
facilitated USA-Kenyan partnerships to serve over 100 students in four Kenyan
schools;
- researched ways
to fund two
school officers in one
Madagascar
school;
- launched a
library to serve 200
students associated with two
organizations in Ecuador;
- mentored
many
learners in many
countries via the internet.
Lessening
the Burdens of Government
CVI2
associates provided this service in Sub-Saharan
Africa, Cambodia,
India,
Indonesia,
Philippines,
Thailand,
and other countries. Over 500 people and
35
organizations benefited directly. Three documents
were prepared to help. Specifically, CVI2
associates:
- facilitated assistance to over 400 caretakers,
represented by 25
agencies, of African children affected by AIDS;
- facilitated assistance to over 100 children
served by 10
agencies.
Lessening
of Neighborhood Tensions
CVI2
associates provided this service in Kenya. Over 100 people and

organizations benefited directly. Specifically, a CVI2
associate:
- reduced
tensions between about 100
men and women in four
religious and tribal groups.
Elimination
of Prejudice and Discrimination
CVI2
associates provided this service in the USA. Over 300 people and
30
organizations benefited directly. Specifically, a CVI2
associate:
- helped coordinate 30 organizations to
positively influence 300
young men and women in a program called Turn Your City.
Combating Community
Deterioration and Juvenile Delinquency
CVI2
associates provided this service in Ecuador
and the USA.
Over 4877 people
and 59
organizations benefited directly. One document
was prepared to help. Specifically, CVI2
associates:
- trained 4000 parents in 25
organizations: men to be better fathers, and single mothers
to raise their sons;
- strengthened
the marriages of 500
people through marriage conferences and small groups;
- mentored or
trained 376
N. American students in 33
entities for character, meaning, reading or service;
- mentored one troubled
youth associated with one
organization, teaching vital life skills.
Operating
Schools: Primary, Secondary or Professional
CVI2
associates provided this service in Madagascar. Over 350 people and
one
organization benefited directly. Specifically, a CVI2
associate:
- operated and
managed for 350
students, one
primary school in Madagascar;
- facilitated the
development and translation of service materials for the same students
and school.
Conducting
Public Discussion Groups, Forums, Panels, Lectures or Other Similar
Programs
CVI2
associates provided this service in the United Kingdom.
Many people and international
organizations benefited directly. One document
was prepared to help. Specifically, a CVI2
associate:
- participated in
the U.K. Department for International Development and UNAIDS
Invitational Conference to develop policies to assist children affected
by AIDS (London,
February).
Facilitation
of Youth Sports Activities and Organizations
CVI2
associates provided this service in the USA.
About 400 youth and one organization
benefited directly. Specifically,
a CVI2 associate:
- provided skateboarders the opportunity to
compete with one another in an environment where an exemplary
professional skateboarded was given the opportunity to positively
influence all others.
Facilitation of
Benefactors, Associates, and Others Who Participate with CVI2
Associates
CVI2
associates provided this service in Ecuador, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Nepal, Peru, Rwanda, Togo, the USA,
and about 15 other
countries. Over
1684 people
and 93 organizations
benefited directly. At least 194
documents were prepared to help. Specifically, CVI2
associates:
- facilitated
over 835
people in 35
organizations through research and the development/translation of
service materials. Service materials included materials in behalf of
African children affected by HIV and AIDS, Third World leader training
materials, resource and marketing materials for NGOs, a Javanese
language dictionary and textbook, English for immigrants within the USA,
required government documents, etc.
- facilitated 637 agency
partners and associates in nine
organizations through administrative and associate-enabling services;
- coached over 144 community
transformation consultants, visionaries and workers from over 35 organizations
to clarify, organize or launch their service initiatives;
- coached 68 community
visionaries and workers, representing over 14
organizations, to discern their persons, purposes and paths, and to
facilitate their growth and effectiveness for community service.
