John grew up in
the American Midwest, where he attended the University of Missouri,
majoring in Political Science, earning a Masters Degree in Public
Administration. After serving as Staff Director to the Governor’s
Council on Productivity for several years, John took up faith-based
work in his hometown of Columbia, Missouri.
While pursuing post-graduate studies in Chicago, John served several
years as Honorary Team Chaplain for the University of Missouri football
team. In 2003, John relocated to the Pacific NW where he completed a
second Masters degree. John and his wife Debbie presently reside near
Salem, Oregon, with their four children.
John currently serves as senior staff member of a professional team
focused on leadership training and strategic planning, coaching
emerging leaders, and helping men discern their ‘next step.’
Through CVI2, John serves as a catalyst for change by consulting with
leaders, especially men, in faith communities actively engaged in
building intentional, strategic, personal and social, cross-cultural
partnerships between organizations, locally and internationally
