Consulting and training for multiplication of grassroot leaders Galen and his wife, Jennifer, worked twelve years in West and East Africa. In the 1980s, he served as communications support consultant to rural community development programs in Africa, and in the 1990s as a social research consultant. His consulting work has taken him to several countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Galen holds three advanced degrees, including a doctorate in intercultural studies. Galen and Jennifer make their home in Oregon (USA) where he currently co-directs CVI˛, writes training materials, mentors community-transformation workers, and consults with organizations internationally.
